Digitron and Buje-export, as the parent organization, have constructed several residential buildings for their employees, helped finance the paving, water supply, and other public utilities in the Bujština region. Digitron has also supported the cultural activities, sports, Vladimir Gortan High School, and the retirement home in Buje.

Due to Digitron's needs, a branch of the Zagreb School of Economics and Management was opened in Buje in 1973, which remains the only higher education institution that has operated in the city of Buje to this day.

More Workers - More Inhabitants

The population of the settlement Buje in 1971 was 1967, while in 1981 it had already reached 2824 inhabitants. At the beginning of 1971, there were 26 employees working at Digitron, while in 1987 their numbers had risen to almost 770.

"Buje-export" organized a dental and eye clinic in its premises, mostly due to the large number of Digitron workers.

From the report of the Workers' Council, it can be seen that Digitron supported elementary school students from Buje by paying for their school trips and donating its products to them.

In addition, they also provided assistance to the Croatian Association of Dystrophy, the Chakavian Assembly, the Historical Society Croatia - Istria Branch, Croatian Youth Music, and the Association of the Blind in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
